Necklaces



Now we're on to necklaces!!YAY!

To make necklaces you use the same steps as you would to make a single but you just make the length ALOT longer. Necklaces are fun to make because you can attach basically anything to them, just by threading a needle through them.

 

Here are some examples that may give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

left to right: Gameboy Rasta necklace, plush bear, perler Gir, mustache, Care bear, mustache bunny, plastic dino, and two chokers.(Which are just a tighter version of necklaces.)

Small toys are an easy example of necklace making,(These were really cheap: probably under $2) all of these already have a hole in them, so it's easy to attach.

 

Plush animals are popular in kandi making...but don't use too big of an animal or it will be to heavy and too bulky. 

 

 Plastic toys like McDonald's toys, small figurines, LPS, and Neopets, make good necklaces because they're an ideal size and you can color match almost any of them.

Singles Examples

Hiya, I will now show you some examples of singles that me (KandiMaster), and my sister (Kittie), have made for ourselves or each other, based on the "things to put on kandi" that we showed you before.

This is a simple single it is just a color pattern repeated over and over again until it's big enough for my wrist.

 

This is example 1 of a Silly Bands single, in this example it's tied around the Silly Band.

 

This is example 2 of a Silly Bands single, in this example it's just through the Silly Band, there's no tying involved in this example.

 

Button singles are real easy to make, since buttons already have holes you just weave the string through two of the holes, add beads, and TIE! Voila, a button single.

 

These are cubes from Target, they have a little monster inside them that dances.

 

Perlers are great for adding to singles because you can customize the pattern to fit any color scheme you want.

 

THis is example 1 of a Squinkies single, in this example you leave them in their ball and put the string through the holes in the top.

 

Or, you can put the string through them out of their ball by attaching the string to a needle and pulling it through.

 

Peyotes are easy to make and easy to attach to singles.

 

Buttons (or pins), are awesome to, you can get these almost anywhere.

 

Charms are CUTE on singles they are easy to attach because they already have holes.

 

Novelty erasers are awesome looking on not just singles, but 3Ds as well (but we'll get into that later.)

 

Last but never least are...PARTY FAVORS! Party favors are cheap and are often interactive.

Hiya, everyone! Welcome to KandiKrazy, this is our first post on our new Blog :) YAY!

For our first lesson we will be showing the basics of kandi, which are singles.


Singles are a great way to start out making kandi. Singles are just a bunch of pony beads in a single row on some elastic string. When you make singles you can put anything you want on them.

Here are some examples of what kinds of things to put on singles, maybe you'll see something that will inspire you :)

Silly Bandz are really great

Erasers are awesome, you can find theses just about anywhere.

 

Buttons, you can find buttons at any local Wal-Mart.

 

I don't know what these are or where we got them.

 

Neopets or Squinkiesopular accessory for singles.

 

These are perlers, you make these using pegboards.

 

 Electronic cubes are found at Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart.

 

Peyotes are easy to make and awesome for singles.

 

These are just some random stuff that I found lying around.

 

Charms are awesome, they come in cute shapes and sizes.

 

 Buttons are cool too! Just loop it through the pin part in the back

 

 Party favors are cheap and often look really cute on singles!!!
